  • January: Work starts on site
  • March: Piling rig used for the first phase of concrete piles that support the new structure and take the weight down to the existing bedrock below ground
  • May: The tower crane expected to arrive on site as the groundworks finish. Deliveries of steel and concrete as the foundations take shape
  • June: The first steel is expected to be visible from the ground
  • October: Pool walls and floors and concrete works expected to be complete



  • March: The high point of St Sidwell’s Point pool hall is expected to be reached 
  • September: Pools filled and tested ahead of tiling 
  • October: Crane removed from site 
  • NovemberExternal cladding expected to be complete. All roofworks expected to be complete
  • December: Operator expected to begin fit out



  • Summer: St Sidwell’s Point and new bus station expected to open
